and elegant rooms. Travel & Leisure listed
the Madrona in its Top 100 Hotels in Continental U.S.
and Canada. Our guests also repeatedly give this
hotel and its restaurant very high marks.
Pamper
yourselves at The Applewood Inn in Guerneville. The
Applewood is an historic and “casually luxurious” hotel
on the outskirts of Guerneville. The hotel has
private massage rooms as well as many secluded places
to relax. The Inn has an award-winning restaurant. The
Executive Chef, Brian Anderson, heads Applewood’s
Cooking School “La Buona Forchetta.” Brian

Stay as the guest of John and Keren at The
Haydon Street Inn in Healdsburg: This
Queen Anne Victorian B&B is set on tree-shaded
grounds in a quiet residential neighborhood yet is
an easy walk to the historic plaza. John was
a professional chef in his previous career and has
cooked for several US presidents – so expect
a nice breakfast.

Stay as the guest of the Garnett
Creek Inn in Calistoga. This B&B
occupies one of the best locations in Calistoga: on
a tree-lined corner at the quieter end of Calistoga’s
main street. The most distinctive feature of
the property is the large, southern-style porch that
overlooks the well-kept garden. Guests’ rooms
are airy and most have fireplaces.

as the guest of Margaret & Mike Kennett in one of
their Fern Grove Cottages in Guerneville. Nestled
among the redwoods, these cottages are simple but comfortable
and most have fire places. Choose from one and
two bedroom units - several with living rooms and spa
tubs. Margaret is extremely helpful and goes out
of her way to make our guests feel welcome.

Stay as the guest of Bill and Joanne at
the Calistoga Euro Spa & Inn. This
clean-and-comfortable facility is sited at the end of
a quite residential street on the southern edge of town – just
a few blocks from the main street. Rooms are simply
furnished and most have fireplaces. There is a
nice patio area with a small pool that backs onto vineyards. There
is a basic day spa on site.
